Default Replacing Soft Top Strikers

My top is not latching tight enough. It seats higher than it should. Should I replace the strikers, and if so, should I replace them with hardtop strikers?

Yes, replace them with hardtop strikers. I don't think you can even buy the old soft top strikers.

You could also use washers to lower the striker you have. There is a DIY on here somewhere. It's simple though. Remove the striker and add washers to the back of it.

Hmm, sounds like I will try the washer trick before I spend the $50 bucks on new strikers. Thanks for the tip!

My pleasure! I just don't know which size washer and how many you should use. It doesn't take much, but you would want something that fits snugly on the screw.
