Default Replica Mugen SS Rear Wing Kit

First time posting on the forum, but i have been trying to find a replica (i.e.) cheaper Mugen SS rear wing for the S2K.

I am planning to buy a new 2004 in Berlina Black and this is the best wing I have seen for the car, but it's too darn expensive (especially since I live all the way in U.A.E. and would have to order it directly).

Can anyone help?

I don't believe this piece has been replicated.

Why not just save up and get the authentic? You can't fade Mugen quality.

$1200 is kind of steep for a spoiler, and to my knowledge there are no knock-offs, wouldnt buy either of them anyways...

Thumbs down

This is no different from buying designer label knockoffs ...

Yes, but at the end of the day, you end up paying more money just for a brand name or badge. Take the Golf and S3 - S3 is a Golf in fancy clothes for badge snobs - simple as that, well it used to be anyway.

USD 1200, plus shipping for me would come up to about USD 1,700 if not more - and for a wing, just doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately, I don't want some huge chav boy crap (that's much cheaper) and the Mugen is understated and stylish. How much downforce would be produced between the original and a replica wouldn't really matter much, as I don't intend on driving the car beyond its limits with turbos and superchargers, where that would really come into play. Track days are minimum as I participate in Autocross regularly.

Well if anyone has any breakthroughs, let me know!

Thanks!

The S is quite rare out here - which is another great reason to have one (if the list wasn't long enough already.

It is very popular at the Autocross and track days - so a large proportion of the owners are true enthusiasts and sensible tuners.

I currently run a CTR, which is superb, but have wanted the S since it was introduced in 99 (I have the original brochure as well!

UAE is the most affordable place for fast cars, especially coz the fuel is so inexpensive - but where it does get expensive is mods, since they have to come a lonooong way

Though I have contacted Richard at Bulletproof Automotive and may just order the Mugen SS wing from them! Pricey, but I think it will be well worth it.

PS - Sorry for the late reply - didn't check my post again till now!
