Default Research Study

Hi everyone, Anyone who is concerned with this issue or would like to help in general please feel free to direct owners to the survey. The more information I can compile the better.

Through the survey I am just trying to determine only if the top is ripped, has been replaced, or is not ripped.

I'm in the process of putting together a report that I might be able to present to Honda regarding the issue. I've contacted numerous dealerships about the TSB regarding the "defect" only to have them tell me the repair comes with a price tag of ~$2500.

The report isn't biased towards owners who have ripped tops. It will be put together with other information outside of the survey that will be collected. It will merely be a study that will hopefully raise some awareness as to how widespread the problem may or may not be and if Honda would like to directly address the issue head-on if a widespread problem exists.

I'm in the process of putting together a report regarding the factory convertible top and have been looking for input from other owners to fuel my data. If you have 30 seconds to spare please fill out the survey below.

Done...but wasn't there some sort of TSB in which Honda addressed this issue?

Done! That was easy. I was surprised that the number of miles wasn't part of the survey.

My top has a tiny tear that hasn't gone all the way through yet. I'm hoping the protection I've added will stop the wear from getting worse. So far so good!

Done! Mine ripped right by the latches, and even though the TSB was out, the dealership said it wasn't going to be covered because the 'warranty had already expired'. I already patched it myself, but would be nice to get a new top out of it.

Done! Took three seconds. I also think mileage should have been included. My top is ripped at the top, right, back corner over the bars.

I'm happy to hear that someone is taking initiative on this issue. I'm eager to learn what comes from it. Thanks.

Mine isn't ripping yet, that I know of. I'll have to check it out later. Its good to see someone on this issue, maybe something good will come out of it.

Done. I have two pre-holes that have formed on outer sides right above the front bar (right above the driver and passenger seats). I have stopped it for now, but am not sure if it is really fixed.
