Sounds like an attorney trying to drum up another class action law suit.

Not a lawyer, college student doing a capstone. Thanks for all of the support everyone, looking to get at least 500 people for this survey.

Done.

I had my 05 S in the dealer today for the state inspection and asked about the ripped top. Even though I only have 28k miles on it, and the tear is a direct result of negligence on Honda's part (burr was not ground down and tore the top at the hinge), they would not cover it in any way shape or form, or offer me any type of discount on a repair/replace.

I have a patch there now, but it is annoying.

Done. I agree with Netsyrk7, mileage should have been included.

My '03 has just started getting the holes near the latches but the car is 7 years old, and it sorta is my fault to wait so long to replace the elastic straps. But I also have a hardtop for winter use. All these factors may actually indicate the holes are my fault, not Hondas. That result can't be found from the few questions asked on the survey.

Good news is, my answers will help your cause.

I still have my OEM top with no holes. Almost 8 years (June will make 8) and 96000+ miles too. Raggtopp really prolongs the life imho.

Done. My top was ripped on both ends. Took it to my local dealer with a print out copy of the TSB (Wich is around this site) and they honored the change. They replaced my top, no charge. Although, the mechanic in charge did a piss poor job of doing it. Oh well at least I got a brand new top. Good luck!

Thank you all for the continued support.

The reason I excluded the mileage it it isn't always a very good variable to use when comparing my data. Vehicles with/without torn tops would have high and low mileage. If I'm not mistaken those who are bringing up the mileage are trying to compare those that are daily driven and those, like mine, that are stored over the winter.

I intend to use the "State" as a means to compare much more information, which should do a much better job of comparing (what I believe some of you are talking about) certain data.

Thanks again
