Can anyone remind me how to reset the Main't required idiot light? 15K mles now.

"First, put the key in the ignition w/o turning, then push the trip reset button. Continue to hold button down while turning key to next position. Keep holding the button until the light stays off."

 

Just to double check with you guys, this is an idiot light right? I don't have my manual nearby but I'm assuming this light is just a reminder to change your oil if you haven't done so already. Sound right?

Too late Shelley! Just like a woman....late again! (Only one hour and 4 minutes this time. Not too bad!)

 

Thanks for the reminder. I'm curious though how the computer determines when to start blinking the light, since mine came on before 6k miles (somewhere around 5800 or so). So it must not use the exact mileage. Anyone else notice this?
