I had one girl laughing at me for putting Honda badges on my "Porsche". When her boyfriend explained that my car was a Honda she spent the rest of the night trying to explain that she wasn't a dumb blonde.
My parents neighbor was disappointed to see I bought a Porsche. When she finally came over and saw it was a Honda she apologized for the bad thoughts she had about me. I didn't pry into what she was thinking.
People are strange.
The Honda emblems look cheap. I also own a set of the black chrome ones. They are better quality, but are too big and I don't like the black chrome itself. I have a set of Ricks badges on order. Still no guarantee that I will put them on the car either.
Still waiting for someone to produce leather visor covers too.

I still have the original badges on my car, and have been debating weather to install the Honda black chrome kit that's been in my drawer for six months, or order a set of Rick's S badges (hmmm... what color combo), or leave 'em alone, or something else (JDM?).
I dislike the stock badges 'cause they look a little cheap, and it's really annoying to wax around 'em.
Ken, when you get your S badges can I take a peek at 'em?

Here's what I did. I felt the same way alot of you do about removing all the H's from the car. I didn't want to make it seem like I was ashamed it was a Honda because I'm not. The wheels still have all the H's on them. To get the best of both worlds, I put a Hesel S badge on the front for a nice clean, smooth line on the nose, and put a black chrome H on the back. I also put the other S badge on the secret compartment door, kinda Corvette style I guess you could say. So, with the S on the front and H on the back, there is no question what the car is
to me the main reasons to keep the honda badges are :
- I love the H logo. It's simple and well designed. Not as perfect as the Audi, Renault, Mercedes or Citroen ones, but still much better than the BMW or Porsche ones (everyone likes them now because they've acheived cult status, but if they were to come out today for a new brand, everyone would hate them. Proof that they are bad : try NOW with a pen to draw the porsche logo. Then try to draw the Audi one. See?)
- I love Honda! Especially old models, from the 70's
- Honda badges on euro models are good looking. I didn't know the american ones were diferent until I met a member of this board in paris (autoEx). Apparently we get the 'chrome badges' stock here.
- sorry if anyone feels hurt, but the S badges are catastophically designed. They're a pure technical and visual demonstration of how to do bad curves, on the most difficult letter in the alphabet, the S.
- If I was to order something from the USA, it would be the console cover, and nothing else.
just my 2 francs

Ok all,
"You did to yours, what I didn't to mine, and I did to mine what you didn't to yours----yet we're all happy with what we did and didn't do, right?"
A little thought to keep in mind when reading everyone's responses.

Sorry, le car, but they just happened to have been designed by a designer who's won numerous national awards for her work with type, for which she is especially highly regarded by her profession. But you're entitled to your opinion. Just don't present as if it is some kind of truth.
