To be safe, I would contact Menlo Honda to see what it entails.

Aimee,

So you have a 2002 soft top, complete with glass rear window, installed on a modified 2001 frame? Does the top seem to work fine? Do you know how the dealership modified the frame?

I'd like to get a chance to see the finished product someday.

Exactly...

Minor body work being finished today and tomorrow, and I should be picking up the car tomorrow or Friday. Anytime you want to see it, you are welcome.

If modifying the frame is not hard since it's minor, then
the retro-fit is only $850, which is the cost for a '02 soft top with
a glass window. you can hook up the wires for the defroster to
the front where the empty button is (for 00 and 01 model) 'cuz
the '02 model has a defogger button there. that button is not
expensive, the wires won't cost that much either...

hey OneQuickS2K, how did you run the wires? i have the hardtop and wanted to retrofit the '02 switch, i have the switch which wasn't expensive, but as for the wiring harness, you need the one for the entire dash, did you reconnect the whole dash harness? or did you splice some wires?
