i didn't do the wires.i dont have a '02 yet and i dont have a hardtop.
i dont think it'd be that hard to splice some wires if you have the hemls manual.

I picked up my car today - the installation of the 02 top on my MY01 S2000 looks great!

On the 02, there is a portion of the frame that is spring loaded that allows the window to fall into the well correctly, and on the 01 frame does not have this. In order for the window to fold correctly they had to install elastic straps to mimic the spring loaded bar in order for the window to fall correctly in the well.

Holy Smokes!! now I will be heading to the Honda dealership and asking them to have it retro-fitted...And please show some pics if that is possible.. nothing in my helms manual that says the frames are identical, except what you mentioned..but i could not see it in the illustrated parts break-down..oh well...

I am receiving a '02 soft top with glass window and I am going to install and wire the defroster myself. I have a 2000 model. Stay tuned...

Wooohoooo!!! Thats a brave move man....Congrats on your decision. If you pull this one off, and do a detailed write up (like the headlight clearing FAQ), you would be an S2ki.com GOD!!!!!
