You need one of those cars that is actually two front ends welded together and can be driven in either direction...

 

Turn around and face the back of your seat, put the car in first, you'll now go in reverse. Sheeeeesh.

This used to be a problem for me as well. I found it easier just to leave it in neutral and have a friend push from the front while you steer. Otherwise, don't park it where you have to reverse.

 

I have that same problem - can't find reverse. I even looked for it by 7th gear. But it's okay, I usually have my personal valet with me at all times to take care of backing up... You guys mean to tell me that when you bought your S the dealer didn't throw in a personal valet? Must be a So Cal thing -
