Why is it the when I'm driving down the street, a lot of times cars would come next to me and revvVVvv their engine? Sometimes they are going the opposite direction and they revvVvvVVV. Why? What does it mean? Is it that they want to race or is it a secret code for "Nice Ride pal"
Can anyone clarify this?

Its just a bunch of kids looking for attention. Probably even a little jealous of your ride! =). I presonally would find that to be very funny. I get my s2k in June/July, I cant wait...

 

that same stuff happens to me also. I was at a light about to turn left when this kid in a stratus pulls up right beside me. He revved up his engine and tries to show off in front of 3 girls that was in the car with him. At that time I had my top down and the girls just leaned over and smiled and said "NICE CAR!!" I just smiled back and left when the light turned green.

I had a Hayabusa rev at me one time (like I was going to race ), so I took it as a sign of respect. It's touch and go on this I feel...

I rev back...usually the people just want to hear the car rev up and I dont have a problem with that

9/10 times they give me a thumbs up

 

It might have to do with age. No one's ever revved on me. Then again, I live in rural suburbia.

 

same here.. theres plenty of people that drive imports around here, but I wouldn't consider them 'ricers', and everyone respects the S2K too much to rev at it.. they don't want to get eaten
