Generally I get thumbs up from all of the tuner crowds but the teenage SRT-4 drivers who always insist on revving at me while glaring I normally just respond with "Nice Neon bud"

I should try that. MR, we seem to have a local problem with this because I encounter the SRT-4's ALL the time..

Reving while traveling the opposite direction is version II of a typical "Rice-Bye"......

Reving while next to you means it's on and pop'n....

I've found it to be a few things:

1. Those people that respect your car and want you to rev it a little. A guy and girl in a ford truck got a real kick out of this as they smiled and gave a big thumbs up to me and the wife.

2. The people out there with "Small p***s syndrome" or what is commonly referred to as SPS. Indications of SPS include: Uncontrolable revving of one's engine due to envy or overall lack of confidence in ones manhood, uncontrolable "I'm a big hard baller yo" glaring and SPS is often coupled with Ricer Fly-By Syndrome or RFBS which includes the uncontrolable urge to flash hazards and resort to dumb moves after losing. Luckily these are not typically life threatening diseases, but if you know anyone with SPS or RFBS, please call this hotline:
1-888-GETALIFE. Your intervention will be appreciated.

In some cases it is a form of "flexing". Those with the awesome civics that have race pedals and the pushing carts rear wings want us S2K owners to know not to mess with them. If we do they will turn on their underbody neon kit and then what will I do

In other cases it is a form of respect. I had a guy and his girl come up next to me and rev with . It was on the freeway and raining, but he rolled his window down. So I down shifted and flew by him. He honked and gave me another .

It's fairly close stock for stock.

I've never seen an SRT-4 on the road. I'm just waiting for one of them to pull up next to me and try to act cool. I have, however, been challenged by a newer model M3 coupe. I had just gotten the car then, and foolishly took the bait. I'll let you guys figure out the rest.

I get revved every few days... [I think part of it might be the color... Yellow seems to attract a lot of attention just because it's hard not to at least glance at it and try and figure out when cars started looking like banana's]

I rev back... I usually don't initiate a rev with someone else, unless it's an S2K.
