Revving Engine while parked

Is it safe to rev the engine into vtec range while the car is parked assuming engine has 3 bars.

No!!!

Enging should be under load for you to rev it.

Really bad very very bad.

i would never rev any engine without a load on it.

just curious, why do you want to rev it that high without a load?

ok that is what I thought. Many people tell me to rev my car so they can hear the engine. I would rather just give them a ride in it. Thanks.
