Can you guys name the different countries that drive on the left side of the road, and others that drive on the right side of the road. I was just wondering. Thanks

 

I can name a few RHD countires. Assume all other countries are LHD unless others can confirm otherwise.

UK (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales), Eire, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Burma, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangla Desh, Hongkong (at least it was prior to the Chinese takeaway), Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Japan.

I have travelled extensively by motorcycle through the above and many other countries. The beauty of a motorcycle is that is much easier to compensate when changing from one side of the road to the other - simply readjust the mirrors rather than be sitting on the wrong side of the vehicle.

There are no doubt many other countries I have missed including many of the South Pacifc nations and the northern countries of the Indian subcontinent (Kashmir, Bhutan etc.).

Anyone else care to add to this list??

 

The Virgin Islands are RHD as well as Gibraltar since they are both British possessions. The Cayman Islands also are RHD.

 

Erm ... Actually that's quite good enough, 2KTurkey ... Good list in fact, definitely boosts general knowledge.

 

Thanks CE, I am sure there are lots of other little islands in the Caribbean (Jamaica and the like) that are RHD too.
