Unless they are stripping or rusting, IMO there is abosolutely no reason to change the nuts. If they are clean and spin off easy after loosening with a wrench, I'd re-use them.

I'd disagree with part of that statement, if the locknuts spin off by hand after loosening them with a wrench something is wrong. A locknut should not spin off easily until the lock portion of the nut is beyond the stud, it should require to be turned back with a wrench/rachet or what ever tool your using. I only mention this because I have installed quite a few headers over the years and its a real pain to have header leaks and always be tightening the nuts. So if the nuts spin off easily you may be well served to replace them.

Well...I have R&R'd about 20 S2000 headers, and they are NOT locknuts. Remember this is an s2k forum, and that's the car I'm reffering to

Read again, I said nuts. Not locknuts.

The Honda Service Manual (2000-2003) page 9-3, says "self-locking nut", also says to use NEW gaskets & self-locking nuts.
