Default Rick's Clear Diffusors

Hey everyone I just got ricks diffusors for christmas but am having trouble taking headlight apart. I have the headlights out and am getting desprate. I have tried oven and heat gun but am still not getting it Whats are the tricks? I know this has probly been brought up before but couldn't find the topic. If someone could give me some tips or post a link to a previous topic about this. Thanks in advance

the directions are very good up to this point and then it starts getting vague... I was wondering if i should just pay a shop to do it because im afriad to break the cover. How easy is it to crack the cover?

you have to bake the headlights in the oven until the OEM seal mealts a bit so you can pull it apart

Just what JanNov s2k said . You preheat the oven to 350 degree and turn it off. After its off put in the headlight for about a good 10~15 minutes. Take if apart and put in the clear diffuser and re-do the steps, but make sure you put new silicone to seal it up.

Where does it get vauge?

Preheat oven to 225.
Put Headlight in Oven
15-20 min later remove headlight
Open headlight from the small end working towards the larger end.


NO TOOLS are needed. Bare hands! (OK with towels for heat)

just be sure to re-seal them really good you dont want condensation in your headlights

sounds about right. Maybe you just need to up the heat a little. that sealent will get nice and Gooey, not to mention it will hurt like no other if you get it on your hands when its hot like that. Doesnt come off particularly easy haha

That's one of the most important parts. I've seen so many headlights with condensation in them and it looks horrible!
