Rick's has joined forces with Team Voodoo!
Awesome product guys.
As far as what I think Rick was bringing to attention in an earlier post, was about the constant barrage of posts in the group buy section that keep bringing the same posts to the top, keeping all threads posted by the same individuals grouped together, while pushing down all other private party posts to the bottom.
I'll just tell it like it is: the example I will use is the return of the "Muz" posts. I think once a week, Muz pushes each one of his individual group buys to the top. From a reader's standpoint it is annoying. I am not annoyed by it as much as post horz bother me at times (albeit, at times I am one of those individuals). If any members annoy me enough, I am more than happy to use the "ignore member" feature the admins give us access to.
What "Rick's" is doing here is just letting the community know of a new product offering. He's has not posted this in "endless self-serving" vanity. This is his first post about this, and probably will stay near the top because others will post to this topic. What I definitely know that Rick Hesel or Reedz will not do, is to "TTT" this post once it gets low on the "totem pole" board. In over a year, I haven't seen either of these two individuals do that to their own "self-serving" threads.
EDITS: for spelling reasons only

Well put Mr. Luder
I am glad that "Ricks" and others put post out letting us know of another wonderful product, and I hope that they continue to do it in the same tasteful style that they have done so in the past.
Just my $.02

JASON410,
As a sponsor, we are entitled to post information about new product offering or ideas where and whenever we want. I wasn't "crying" at all; I was just raising an issue (in a provacative way, to stimulate debate) for discussion because I was interested in people's opinions, and we got them, some unflattering, but most of them, I thought, helpful, with constructive suggestions that will result in good changes to the board. Until those changes are implemented, we have to live with the structure we have.
We "top" very few posts and try to avoid doing it whenever possible, but sometimes it's necessary. For example, on the powder coated caliper group buy we have to update the waiting list whenever it changes so people know where they stand. Many of our posts on our products, in fact most of them, are buried somewhere in the bowels of old posts and if they get to the top at all it occurs because a member finds them and posts a new message.
But I can understand how you might think I'm being hypocritical. But what do you expect us to do when we introduce a new product, nothing? Should we just start making it, often commiting $thousands up front on a flyer, and expect that owners will somehow find out about it? (In the case of the Voodoo knobs, we've had to commit quite a bit of cash without having any idea about what the demand is likely to be). If we couldn't bring these products to the attention of owners, we'd be out of business in a short time, since this board is about the only way we have to get information to owners.
I've been involved with this board from the day it was started, as have several other owner/sponsors. We've tried not to abuse our priveleges as sponsors, and many, if not most, of our posts have absoultely nothing to do with our business or our products.
After this post, I will have nothing else to say about this topic. It's been covered more than thoroughly by now.

Guys, with all the crap floating around the board as of late, can we just give this a rest for a bit?
Reedz, and Rick are well with in there rights to announce a new partnership, and a new product. If had seen this post in every forum, at the top, by thier own doing every minute, Then there would be a problem..
I swear is this the winter blahs rearing its ugly head lately or what?
