Default ride quality 07 vs 08?

hello all, i am back in the market for an s2k. well, for the wife, not me anywhom, i have not driven an 08' yet, and from what i read on another thread, they upped the spring rate on the regular version. for those who own/have driven them, is there any noticeable degradation in ride quality? i just want to know if i should find a leftover or not. thanks.

07 and 08 should be the same unless your talking about the 08CR version it has a stiffer suspension than the other S's

The base 2008 was changed from 2007. Don't know if the ride is any harsher, but it should handle better on the track. Just test drive both and see which one you like.

For 2008, both S2000 models have benefited from suspension updates. First off,the base 2008 S2000 runs stiffer springs and dampers than the '07 model, to the tune of +7%/+9% (F/R) for the springs and +10%/+5% (F/R) for the dampers.

guess i will try and find an 07 leftover, as that will ride nicer.

"In its heaviest form (with A/C, stereo, and hardtop in place), the CR comes in at right around 9 lbs under a base S2000. "

Wow!

Yea, but don't forget to glue some wings and diffusers to yourself to make a more aerodynamic chassis.

Question

i haven't driven any other MY S2k other than my MY07(i've test drove an MY00 and MY04 when they both came out, but that was a long time ago...can't remember so i can't compare)

from what i've gathered... MY08 is stiffer than MY07, CR is stiffer than MY08, the AP1 is stiffer than AP2... i therefore conclude that my S has the softest and conservative suspension setup out of all the different configurations of any year or type(CR).

i'm running stock and i feel my car is REALLY stiff, so stiff that i even checked my springs if they still have the spacers from factory and from the same info that i've gathered, mine is the softest? and to think most of you have aftermarket springs/suspension... i wonder how bumpy all your cars must be... i guess im so used to driving stock sedans
