Smile The right copilot!

I love to drive!

And I usually do it alone. I enjoy so much taking long trips with just the car and myself.
I mostly do it on weekends, and use rural roads, off traffic. This is a very special time for me where I most enjoy the s2k ride experience. I can go for hours straight, as long the car ask for gas, and I barely stop for drinks or food.

Said so, the s2k is a driver designed car, so the passenger may not be that comfortable in long trips... my girl friends comply a lot of being uncomfortable and such...and it has been on SHORT trips!
One of them drove me crazy on a 20 minutes trip, complaining about how hard was to get in and out, that she can't wear skirts, that her hair was a mess! I wanted to kick her out at 55mph!
JEEZ

It's kinda frustrating getting the right girl for the right trip...

Do you have similar stories?
When did you find your perfect s2k mate?

Just keep driving by yourself... that's by far when I enjoy my car the most. Some friends, past girlfriends and my fiance tend to always complain about something, talk too much or just don't understand the S2000. It almost ruins the driving experience.

I found my wife before I found my car, but luckily my wife loves it. Loves top down and loves going on long drives. She loves it so much she wants to learn stick so she can drive it.

We drove a few hours north to Tennessee (from Atlanta) and with perfect weather in the evening, getting to watch the sunset at 80mph with no roof over your head until the sky dissolved into millions of stars, I think it all kinda made sense.

Cars are just transportation to some people. The S2000 won't make any sense for them.

My wife loves the car too. At first she protested me selling my Z to get the S, but as soon as we put the top down and went for a drive, she loved it.

I'd look at your problem as a benefit. If they complain about being uncomfortable in the S...it means their too big. It's pre-screening your girls for you.

Cars are kind of like fishbowls. You put a gold fish in a giant aquarium...that sucker is going to keep growing. Similarly (but different), you put a girl in the passenger seat of an S2000, she knows she can only be so big before she has to hit the road.

...please don't take me too seriously.

Like a hermit crab? Once it gets too big it must search for a new shell.

My gf loves my car. She has yet to complain about it. Don't know if she's the perfect co-pilot yet, but so far so good!

Hate to generalize, but it's perhaps the combination of the type of girls that you're looking for & the proper co-driver just doesn't exist. Let's just say it's easier to find a unicorn than it is to find what most people consider 10's AND appreciate the car/driver mentality.

Lol I had a good laugh but it make sense about the prescreening thought.

The S is part of my life and lifestyle, I chose this car for many reasons and if she doesn't like it it's like when she argues about a member of your family... It's just a big NO NO for her.

The S is a great litmus test. If she squeals in delight, she passes. If she complains, she fails.

Not to be a negative nancy but... find a new girlfriend?

If the S is as big a part of your life as you say, like it is mine (researching, understanding, driving, etc.) it would be nice to be able to share that experience with your S/O. Plenty of our local guys here bring their girls with them on our drives... hell even to the AutoX's and they love it.
