The biggest factors seem to be your location and dealer inventory. When I bought mine about a year ago my local dealer had none in stock and hadn't had one in a month. They were not that hungry to move something they were sitting on off the lot.

I live in Florida where they are reasonable sellers year round. Had I been willing to drive to the Miami area I'm sure I could have done much better since most of those dealers there had anywhere from 2-10 in stock at all times.

There are people that will post out the door numbers below $30k. In my search last year I find that very hard to believe on a brand new car but who knows. As much as I would never buy a car on Ebay, looking there for what dealers are willing to sell new cars for should provide a guidline. I would guess that it would not be too hard to find a new one under $31k + tax and tags.

the right price is whatever you are willing to pay. I stressed for 1 month over a dealer being an ass to me. But i just sucked it up and bought the car, it is not worth all the time to stress. If 32 otd is your target, just tell them that and don't let them play games.

Yep. Can you really put a price on enjoyment anyway. After you have the car (assuming you don't get buyer's remorse) who cares about a few hundred bucks?

um replace that with few thousand...

That's what happens when you have no ****ing credit, but oh well. Saved myself 2k+ on interest by putting down 15 large instead of 10. Can you believe i had to put that much down to secure financing!?!

If you have no credit and are financed in a S, you should be very grateful to your dealer or lending institution.

Sounds like the only way you were financed was based on an equity call.
