Default Rip in Top, Will Honda Warranty?

I have a full 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty, Service dept is closed till Monday..

I was wondering what my chances are they will replace this.. As this is a rip from the arm on the top..

Thanks in advance..

Extended warranties don't cover tops. But that rip can be patched up by an upholstery shop for not much.

It's the warranty that came with the certified used honda I bought..

Is there some material that shows EXACTLY what the warranty's cover?

Edit - The only reason I ask is that they screwed up my warranty so I never received the paperwork..

I've been searching, but can't seem to find a list of stuff that is covered s2000 specifically.

They told me it won't cover bodywork (which includes the softop), and I also have the extended warranty for certified used Honda.

I brought this up to Honda America as a case, although it ended up just being a waste of my time. For a small rip like that, honestly, a shop can probably fix it for $30-50. You can still fight it with Honda to patch it up but in the end, you have to ask yourself what your time is worth... They will most likely not replace your top for free. At best, if you bitch at them enough, you might get a 50/50 deal where they will pay half the labor/parts cost but it'll end up being almost around $1000 on your part.

A new top sounds nice, especially because it's caused by a defect in how the top was designed.. I'm going to fight them on it.. thats for sure..

I wouldn't settle for anything less then complete replacement for free.

Ok so let me get this straight, you PAID for something that Honda should fix?

Honda already tried to dick me on my warranty.. I got that straightened out by making a trip up to the dealer. They only wanted to give me 36k and 100$ deductible.. Now i have 100k and 0$ deductible..

There was a guy that posted in your thread..

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry8861251

He got his fixed for free.. OUT of warranty..

I'm taking a trip down there Monday.. Hopefully I don't start a scene once they tell me they won't cover it...
