This seems to be a new product. Is this just aluminum, or does it have that thick plastic coating, like most dash kits? Judging from the pictures, it appears to be just aluminum.

I'd also worry about how well this conforms and adheres to the dash.

I'm not sure if there is a plastic coating, but the questions I have is when heat is applyed does it get soft and bend like the carbon fiber? Other than that if you think about getting the kit let me know I can get a better price.

He has a dash kit. I have no idea if it's the one your asking about.

I look forward to seeing your pictures and hearing your opinion about the installation. If I'm not mistaken, this kit requires you to gently bend the pieces so they fit the contour of the dash, right?
