Hi All,
I'm a recent new owner of a MY'00 Silverstone w/ 37K on the clock. I only got the chance to really wash the car for the 1st time in the last week (Northeast has been getting snow/cold like its our job). Thats when I spotted about a 4-5 inch line of rust on the front fender panels, both sides, RIGHT behind the front wheels. There is a plastic wheel-well cover there, but since the covers leave a small strip of body panel exposed, which is exactly where the rust is, that leads me to believe it was caused by road debris kicking up off the front tires. Anyone else ever hear of rust in this location, and does anyone know if this could be warrantied on a '00 car? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! but yes - if the debris causes the paint to come off then i would suspect you would have rust - i do not beleive this is a warrentee item though
