[QUOTE=BlueDevil34,Mar 9 2005, 06:12 AM]1 - I don't know what to make of the Lotus - it seemed to have a lot more cons than the S and it costs a lot more.

His name reminds me of that old song "Sam Mitani Evening"

The Elise is not much louder than an S2000 on the whole. It's also not that cramped once you get into it. It IS significantly sharper in driving feel than the S, but it's also much harsher over road imperfections.

It's also somewhat awkward to get into until you figure it out, and your wife/girlfriend is NEVER going to be happy getting in and out of it if shes wearing a skirt

Personally I like the original elise styling better, but I'm not sure I agree that the current one will age badly.

I've owned both he S ('04) and the Elise, and am deciding right now between another Elise, another S or a Boxster. That article was some good food for thought.

They're all fantastic cars though - I don't think you can go wrong with any of them from a driving perspective, although the Elise certainly has its limitations (Though they are not as pronounced as some of the comments in this thread might indicate).

What I found interesting is where each car was fastest through the parts of the track. I was surprised at how well the corvette performed in the twistier parts....

Where's the M3? Seems like a strange oversight -- certainly more qualified as a sports car than the z4

[QUOTE=dlq04,Mar 9 2005, 10:05 AM]IMO only the Miata is a sports car in that group and no match for even the S2000.
