Assuming you could get 30mpg as some people have reported and that you ran the tank dry, you could theoretically get close to 400.

12.3 is the most I've done in mine. Highest mileage I've gotten is 27.7mpg, but I was driving relatively fast. That would extrapolate to 340 miles. If I went slower, I'm sure mpg would have improved.

This is something I've wondered about. In what way is it a 50 litre tank? (13.2 gallons)

If none of us have ever put this amount in, does that imply that there's a whole gallon or two that just sits there and doesn't even get used?

I mean, I've RUN OUT of gas completely, and then filled up 10.9 gallons...where were the other 2.3 gallons?

I believe there is, though I've never measured or seen volume measurements for the tank. I almost always fill between 11.5 and 12.1 and I'm generally quick to refill after reserve comes on. I've never run out of gas.

If you ran out and only filled 10.9, there's another issue there. That's way too low to be a top off of a dry tank.
