I am in need of a new top and I want to make the plastic to glass window conversion so I went to my local Honda dealer and got a quote of $1300 for a new top plus install. They also told me that they would just sub it out to a local upholstery shop for the install so I went to the same one they would use and he tried to convince me that a cloth top is vastly superior to the vinyl. He called the Robbins Soft Top company and quoted him a price of about $740 (my cost) for the cloth. My question is, does anyone know if these tops are any good and is cloth really a better material than the vinly? I know I can get a new oem top from hardtop.guy for around $900 and that will probably be my choice, but I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion on this.
