Tasteful mods are in the perspective of the buyer. Some may not want to be the ones to hack up stock interior for a bar.
Some may want a bar installed depending on the quality of the install.

 

Hence why I bought an inexpensive AP1 with a rollbar already installed. If anyone takes a look at the install instructions for any FUNCTIONAL rollbar, you have to do a lot of drilling and cutting. This alone decreases the value of the car by a few thousand. People willing to spend book value or higher on an s2000 want one in nearly stock and MINT condition, rollbar sacrifices that.
