Default Rolling vs Trimming fenders

Had some questions about rolling vs trimming fenders to fit my wheels.

Seems like there's not too much that can be done to the front except bending the liner tab. Isnt it better to just cut the tabs off completley to avoid the risk of having the tire pull the fender out? I was planning on dremelling that sucker flush.

And for the rears, if going with the trimming route does the liner begin to fall out of place as it no longer has a lip to grab? If this is the case I'd rather pay a shop to roll it.

Ok, last question. With 17x9 +44 245/40 rears do the fenders need to be pulled or is a lip job enough.

Thanks all for any help!

I have heard that trimming, unless done properly, isn't a good idea since the trimmed metal would be sharp and slice your tire when you go over big enough bumps. I would roll instead, if it were my choice.

i had my rear fender shaved. They did a very good job leaving a smooth edge. u need to remove the liner from the part thats being cut off. you cant really tell any work was done on the fender. if u go this route make sure they put rubber compound on the edge to prevent rust.

I wouldn't trim it. The factory corrosion protection (it's a lengthly process..) will no longer be there on the edge of the steel, even if you primer/paint over it, you will still end up with rust issues over time.
