Yes, I'd buy an S2000 with no ST just the HT - essentially a coupe S2000 unless I left the top at home.

No, I want an S2000 that has a soft top in it, even if I had a HT shell I could put on.

Default Would you buy an S2000 without the soft top?

Simple question, from another thread, figured I'd make a poll.

Assuming this isn't going to be a track car, bit a "normal" road car, if you were looking to buy an S2000, would you buy an S2000 without a soft top in it?

Assume you are looking at two identical S2000s, and the only difference is the ST - its in one S, but not the other.

Between an S with a soft top and one without, and both also have HTs, which would you get?

I agree that price would be the determining factor, but for the most part no I wouldn't get one without a soft top. One of the reasons I want the s2k is for those perfect days with the top down

So even price, The hard top is worth a couple grand and the removal of the soft-top lowers the resale value by a couple grand.

Edit: So even would be a HT no ST OR a car with only a ST.

BTW don't CR buyers have to make this choice?

The S2000 is definately worth more with the soft-top and the hard-top. So doing this is a mistake value wise, unless your making a track car or , a club racer.

Assume both cars are identical, except one has the ST in it and the other doesn't.

Both cars have HTs, they are identical, but one has a ST and the other doesn't.

The real questions is, do you want an S with the ST and the convertible ability, or do you want an S with a HT, either because you never want to take it off, or don't mind leaving it at home if you go topless.

CR buyers make this choice, but this is assuming you're buying any S2000 with this option.

The whole marking scheme and the CR's lack of everything and goofy options is a freaking joke. What a waste.

For the hardcore track fans, they can remove the ST add mod the original S to out perform the CR.

Why on earth anyone would buy a CR is beyond me... the S is not an exotic... it's going to be modded by the owner. Makes sense that most owners would by the S and modd it, vice buying the CR which looks like ASS from every angle.

I'm going to dread the day I see one of these things on the road. Seriously....

that's pretty harsh considering it's the same car you drive with a few parts that can easily be swtiched out. The hate for the CR you guys have is really pretty stupid. Honda obviously built it with the idea that it's not going to apeal to everyone. That's the main idea with the car. That's why it comes with a/c as an option and no soft top. Don't hate on it just because you wouldn't like it for yourself. BTW, I'd prefer to pay the 2k less and buy the car without the softop (as long as the softop was removed some what professionally with all the interior panels replaced).
