Those two spring looking things the grease gun is pointed at, are they indeed springs?

I am missing the springs and whatever is on either end of them

that explains everything.

Wonder if they sell those parts separately. Probably not.

Not from Honda. You might try to grab a set off a wrecked car.

Yeah, I did my once a year dash wipe with the baby Cali Duster last week.

Check your local auto wreckers. Other than this, I have no idea.
Maybe Hardtopguy can cut you a deal on new ones.

Does anyone have a problem when you close the roof, the hooks get jammed. So you have to slowly close it, pause, and then finish closing it.

Jammed how? A better description please.
I've never had a problem with my 5 year old top.
