Default ROTA wheels

i know they're replicas of more expensive wheels, but is the quality bad? i know it probably won't be as good as the originals, but are they good quality so that i don't have to worry about them breaking or anything while i'm driving? i don't plan to track my car. i'm thinking about maybe getting ROTA's because they look identical to the originals, so why not?

Rota makes a good rim. I've known lots of guys who had slipstreams and never had a problem.

It is unlikely that ANY aftermarket wheel will "break" in normal driving. If you hit a big pot hole you could bend the lip and possibly lose pressure in the tire. But that can happen with a $450 Mugen MF8 (ask me how I know).

can't you just swap out the Rota center cap with a center cap for the original wheel and make it look 100% authentic?

No, theyre replicas... not exact copies you can always tell the difference. No you will not have any trouble with rota wheels.

you will get flamed for putting an authentic cap on some rotas.. just earlier, i spotted a DC5 with ADR rims (FAT ADR centercap) and he stuck some RAYS stickers on them. i said outloud "omfg.. i hate ppl that do that $hit" and the owner was walking behind me, lol. IMHO, rota's do not bother me as long as the owner refers to them as rotas. please do NOT stick an authentic centercap onto a rota and call it authentic. if anything, just get rid of the centercap and paint the inside black.

can't you just remove the center cap and put in a whole new authentic center cap (as opposed to a sticker) so it at least looks clean? btw if i had Rotas, i would have no problem with referring to them as Rotas. i'd be like "yeah, they're just Rota's but i wanted a nicer looking center cap"
