Default rotors

I am looking to get some cross-drilled rotors. Mine are a little too rusty around the edges and I want a better braking feel. I don't track my car, and I care about looks if it does not take away from performance. Evasive has the group buy for brembos. So I know about those. What about others?

Some questions (search is down):
1. What other manufacturers should I look for?
2. What is the best protection for rust (zinc, cadnium, ??)
3. Will there be much of a weight difference between manufacturers?
4. I have seen black rotors before, will the black rub off? How soon?

I have seen 5-6 companies on ebay selling rotors for less than $200. This looks like a great deal. I know some things on ebay are junk, but there are some great deals, too. Just want to be sure I get a good set of rotors for the best price.

One more question: how much do the stock rotors weigh?

If all you want is bling the Brembos are hard to beat. I wouldn't buy cheap rotors off Ebay. Cross drilled aftermarket rotors aren't going to give you any better braking feel and the plating eventually wears off.

I did a lot of research when I wanted rotors. Almost everyone told me to keep the stockers. Many of the local guys have painted the edges and hats with a high temp black paint. They look a lot better. I'm getting ready to do mine.

Cross-drilled/slotted rotors do nothing for performance. They're also prone to crack. Why would you pay more money for this? Just get some Autozone rotors that have lifetime warranties on them.

BTW, rust is normal. Mine forms rust a few hours after a wash.

One of the reason's I'm considering new rotors (when I get new wheels) is to eliminate the rust problem. From what I understand rotors such as Powerslot and Brembo for instance won't rust right after a wash, will they?

You should check also Stoptech, Endless, Willwood, AB RAcing, Spoon and many more...

To be honest my first option will be Endless and on a second the Stoptechs.
