Default rpm gauge problems

ok guys so i have an issue with my s2000.....hopefully its something minor and someone on here can help me out, shortly after washing my car i noticed my rpm gauge was extremely dim (still working though)compared to how it use to be,the temp, speed gauges are all fine, any ideas on what the problem could be(fuse, bulbs etc) i dont think u can adjust the brightness of the lights from the gauges can u,could it be possible that i accidently set the brightness low somehow or is it just an electrical issue...any help would be appreciated

The gauge has + and - buttons to adjust the brightness. Holding down the + button for a few seconds sets it in high brightness mode. Try that but I cant see how washing the car would alter that setting. Other than that I'd check the battery contacts for corrosion, etc.
