It seems to depend on how clean it ends up looking. I've seen some fairly out-there mods on here that were unique, but were done cleanly, and the majority of the responses were along the lines of "I wouldn't do it, but the work looks good".

 

What I'm proposing with my sketch isn't dramatically different than the stock one IMO.

Actually, I find the S2000 dash bland... so I just don't look at it much.

When it is all said and done its your car, ! think its a great idea. try it, the worst that can happen is you don't like it. if so..... just throw your old dash back in. As long as it is done cleanly no one will think it's ricey.

Your sketch reminds me of a mid-late 90s era eclipse/talon. Unless my memory is screwed up which is quite possible.

 

At first I hated the S2000 dash...now I've grown not to even notice it lol...It's a love hate thing...

 

before the s, i was debating between the S and the rsx -s, all cause of interior...
