rsx-s subwoofer
i just came back from the acura parts department.
good news. the subwoofer should fit into our spare tire (it has the same dimensions).
the parts you'll need are the case, speaker assembly, speaker bass box, and an amp (i'm not sure if the bose amp is custom tuned for the sub nor the specs of the bose amp). i think the total cost should be around $300 for the whole thing.
of those that have heard the sub, could you comment on the sound?

Speaking of panels, I was intrested in what your doing. The panels, are you selling them? With speakers or without. I think this is the best alternative I've seen yet. I really don't want to change the head unit just enhance it. I like the placement it seems like it would work quite well. Let me know would you the price and availability.
Thanks

In my experience with aftermarket car audio systems and with stock audio systems, It would be much , much, better to just buy your own sub and have a custom enclosure built. Heck for 300$ I could buy a very nice 10' and have a good box built. It all really depends on what you want personally though in the end. If your only looking for a minor bass boost I'm sure the Honda one would do fine. Just my .02$
I agree with Bob J, without actually hearing it, it would be hard to make a good judgment on how it sounds versus price. Most factory audio systems have not impressed me. Although, I've never heard a factory sub in any car. If it sounds decent, I would be up to buying it since I don't want to loose any more space in the trunk.
