Default Rude way to treat a new S2000

After reading a number of posts, I had to throw this one up...

I flew from NY to Ft. Lauderdale last thursday, ran over to the dealership to pick up my 2002 Sebring Silver & Black s2k.

Then proceeded to drive about 100 miles around town thursday night, followed by 465 miles up to savannah Georgia on friday.

Saturday Morning, I showed up to Roebling Raceway for the Chin Motorsports Driving event. My car had all of about 580 miles on it (CLose enough to 600 in my book)

Over the weekend I proceeded to flog my car to the tune of ~250 miles ON TRACK!!! This is one of the most incredible track cars i've ever driven!

This was followed up by a trip into savannah for dinner sunday, and a 460 mile trip back to south florida!

I'm in agony as we speak, as my car is on a truck being shipped up to NY.... Going back to my A4 is PAINFUL!!! I had always thought my Audi was fairly quick & adept in handling...

IT FEELS LIKE A PIG!!!

oh well.. enough rambling, I just thought I'd throw my "break-in" story out there...

oh.. one last note... I tag teamed the trip with gomason & Lite Blue... DIDN'T SUCK!

WHY? I cringed far more at the other current thread of people trying to launch the S2000 and chirp second than I did at this. Track driving doesn't subject the clutch and differential to nearly the abuse that the 1/4 mile nonsense does, and if you read Honda's literature, track driving is what this car was built for!

It's a pig

I had a 1.8TQ also... I'm a very happy S2000 owner now!

Wow, quite a few of us came from A4's. I used to own a 99.5 A4 1.8TQMS. I've noticed that it seems like S2K owners have very similar taste in cars. It seems many people upgrade to an S2K from either an A4, Integra, Prelude, or Civic. And people tend to move on from the S2K to either a Z06 or E46 M3. Anyone else notice this?

Funny you should say that.. to list my past few cars

'02 s2k
'00 A4 1.8t QMS (APR 3.0)
'93 BMW 325i
97 Prelude
94 Prelude Vtec

odd progression isn't it... I have more kids & end up with a smaller car!!
