Default S2000’s

Hey all I’ve been creeping on these forums ever since I bought my AP1 back in 2010. I don’t post a whole lot but I have gotten a lot of information from here. Back in 2018 I picked up a couple of CRs, I live in North Dakota so my cars rarely get driven, they spend most of the time in my heated garage. I do change the oil every year even tho they only get under 20 miles each a year (couple of times around my neighborhood). In 2018 all 3 cars got new diff fluid, new brake fluid, new transmission fluid, and new coolant. I do intend to change the clutch fluid and check the valves on all 3 cars. I may or may not sell my CR’s this spring but time will tell. I’ve always been passionate about s2000s and would just like to share my cars with others that feel the same.

First up is CR #551
I am the second owner of the car. This car came from South Carolina and was in surprisingly good condition. It currently sits at 37,000 miles. The only things I’ve had to do to it is a new steering wheel and new shift knob, and that is due to typical wear and tear. The previous owner used to be on here so it was easy to find the history on it. All original vins.

Second is CR #545
This one is a little more of a head scratcher. Unfortunately this one shows an accident on the car fax. The person I bought the car from did not know much about what the accident involved. When I bought it the front lip had a few bruises and there was a small dent I had to get pdr. I did get 2 brand new lips which one of them is now on the car. It does retain all original vins. There is no sign of paint work but I still would like to get a paint meter to make sure. The car is sitting at 28,000 miles. This CR was never registered on S2KI and sadly I haven’t had luck finding the original owner to ask them about it.

I saved my personal favorite for last
2000 AP1 with 19,000 miles on it. All original vins. I am the third owner. When I bought the car it had 7300 miles on it. Luckily the previous owner did some tasteful mods to it, and over the years I added some myself.
Vortech superchager
Comtech strut bar
Ricks original badges front and back
Ricks gauges on the radio door
Ricks windscreen
Ricks key emblems
Ricks voodoo shift knob
And I believe Ricks floormats? Not sure if they’re Ricks or muz.
Since I bought it I added the OEM hardtop and the notorious CE28n 10+45 bronze. I am glad I got the rims when I did it sounds like they’re now discontinued. It is dropped about an inch on drop zone springs, and has 255’s all around. No fender work, I have about a finger gap up front. The seats are currently out of this car, I am trying the Leathertique this time. Just got the kit the other day.

Unfortunately I did put a full invidia exhaust on, q300. I really really wish I would have kept the factory exhaust as this is one thing I want to change back to factory. It currently runs on the Vortech tune from 2001 haha. In the future I do intend on updating it. None of my cars get tracked and are probably babied a little to much, but hey I like to preserve them. Anyways I just wanted to share my s2000s with this group. I don’t have Facebook or instagram so this is the only place I get to interact with fellow S2000 owners. A big thank you to all of you!

+1! As if the car collection isn't enough (and it's nice!), you have a great garage to boot! My garage is a disaster zone by comparison...all sorts of junk threatening to fall onto the cars. I'm envious

No this isn’t a for sale thread. When the time does come to sell I will try bring a trailer. I was just sharing my cars with the community and thanking everyone that has participated over the years on S2KI. I myself have learned a ton and I hope new and existing owners share the same experience I have had.

Thank you! When I got my house the garage was completely unfinished. I have put a lot of time and effort into getting it to what it is today. It is currently 20* here so I spend a lot of time in here throughout the winter. I have the heat cranked to about 65-70 degrees while I’m working with this Leathertique, sucks it’s to messy to do inside the house.

Ah - Well nice collection for sure! When you sell them I'm sure they will go quickly as black CR's seem to be very popular. The red supercharged AP1 looks great!
Do you not have a hardtop for the CR on the hoist? I'm surprised you leave it open like that to collect dust??
Question about your 4 post lift. I have the same one in my garage. How do you have your casters hung on them? I've got mine in my shed out back, would be nice to potentially free up space though if there's a way to hang them on the actual lift...

I have the hardtop in my house. I took the top off to Shinitsu the weather stripping so it is temporary, the car fits fine with the top on. As soon as the snow melts outside I will be installing some new lights in my garage. I am going to try out the Barrina LED lights, they’ve had excellent reviews and are rather inexpensive. So everything will have to get backed out and that’s when the top will go back on. For my casters I took a bolt out of the top plate and installed a J bolt. I found some good ones at my local hardware store. I have a nut on the inside and outside of the post so it is sturdy.
