One other thing I want to point out from your post is that same RPM, higher torque = faster acceleration only for a given vehicle speed (i.e if you compare two situations with equivalent RPM and engine torque values, but different vehicle speeds, acceleration will not be the same).
You are correct. I was assuming same road speed, ie same gearing.

Okay. This depends on a lot of things. Primarily I'd say the throttle calibration. And throttle response ("tip in"). Well, mostly on the driver. How are you calibrated? Some people just don't like to dip into the throttle much, as you say. Some cars, sometimes intentionally, have very non-linear throttles. That is, lots of throttle opening for little pedal travel. This results in the thinking "wow, this car is POWERFUL, I just gave it 1/4-throttle, and it flies. Imagine if I gave it full throttle!". Personally, I'd want it more linear so when driving at the limits (track), I have fine control. But I digress.

As you mentioned, you really can't tell from any curve what this will be like. But I have no reason to think the 2.2 would be much different from the 2.0. Except that at a given rpm, you'll have more torque available, so you should feel that extra margin. Bottom line, I can't say, but I suspect it'll be just that much more driveable. Let us know what you think when you drive one!

regards,
Dave

I think Honda is "underpowering" the car. Someone did some physics equation and came out it a higher output.

Someone give me the Physics Formula. I want to try and figure it out.

In that case, Honda would be like the miata's and rx-8's, 500.00 back and lifetime maintence.. I highly doubt Honda would pull a fast one like it. Sales is way too important for them. This is Mr. NSX's little brother here
