don't get an S
keep the sales numbers down and maybe they'll stop making the S

Keep the S esclusive to the proud owners already. Boost the already high nubmers of the Z and make that car as common as a civic.

I love my S and really can't see myself driving anything else, well maybe a Carrera Gt or something, but the S is amazing. It all depends on what your looking for. Do you like a car that can take turns like its on rails and can roam free till 9000rpm? Or would you rather have a torq monster that is pretty much a straight line car?

Yeah. I was in the same position. But I went for the 350z. 2 reasons.

1) I want low-end torq
2) I am not that big of a fan for convertibles

I would also get the S2000, but 350Z is more practical for a daily driver, that's the only thing I can think of...

I narrowed my decision between the 350z and the S2000 as well.

But for me, I've wanted the S since it came out, I've always wanted a roadster, and having owned many Hondas in the past, "lack of torque" was not a concern for me. I had a feeling that I wouldn't really be happy unless I got the S.

The S is an amazing car and I can't imagine having more fun with anything else.

If you want pratical, get the Infiniti G35 ------ four seats, handles well, rides well for a sport coupe. Basically a four seat 350z, (albeit rear seats are really small). If you want a convertible roadster there is no saner choice than the S2000.

P.S. The 350z has really ugly door handles.

Get the S! It's everything I expected and more. I think 5-10 years from now the S will still look good. Classy lines and you just don't see too many. People still wonder what kind of car it is. The Z on the other hand was introduced less than a year and I see more Z's than S's now.

I test drove the Z. It is a fun car but to make a choice it would have to be the S. Being able to drop the top on Pacific Coast Highway is awesome, totally different feeling when the top's down. It's like getting 2 cars for the price of one. Good luck.

I was in the same position as you and I picked the S. Very very fun to drive and feels great to be able to put the top down on a sunny day!!
