Default S2000 or 350Z?

Hi All!

I'm new here, lots of great info!! I'm in the shopping mode and have narrowed my choice to the S2000 or the new Nissan 350Z. The only thing I wish the Honda had was heated seats & an outside temp monitor. Otherwise, it's almost perfect. Anyone heard of maybe those things coming in 2003?

Thanks, have a good one!!

Heated seats and an outside temp gage would not be on my wish list for the perfect sports car. But, if they are important to you I'd strongly recommend you go with the tin top from Nissan.

They're both pretty similar rides! To DROP THE TOP or NOT DROP THE TOP....that's the question you must ask yourself. I heard rumors of a conv 350z also.

Again...both cars are awesome...

Convertible 350Z will debut at this year's Tokyo Auto Show in October.

In regards to 350Z vs. S2000, it is a hard call, as nobody here has driven a 350Z. So, you are taking a crap shoot preordering the car. The S2000, on the other hand, you can test drive so you know exactly what you are getting into. While I'm a HUGE fan of the 350Z, I simply can't order one sight unseen, so the choice is S2000 for me. Also, I am patiently waiting for the reviews and to see whether there will be a turbo model in a year or so.

Thanks for all the input. I've been spoiled by the heated seats & outside temp monitor with my (don't laugh now!) 2000 New Beetle GLX. Its a great car, but I'm at a point in my life where I can have what I want, and I think its either gonna be the S2K or the 350Z. I'll miss my sunroof too, but ahh well. I'll be sittin' in the 350Z next weekend at the NYC Auto Show. I'll let ya know what that's like. The dealers in this area are offering the S2K at MSRP; not sure if that's still important or not to y'all.

Have a good 'un!
