Default The S2000 is back in business...

Its been a long 3 months but my beloved S2000 is back on the road.
I had cracked the oil drain valve 9 months ago because I tighten it too hard.
I went 6 months without fixing it and the leak was getting worst and worst.
So I got another oil pan and I actually attempt to change it myself but it was a no go.
So its been jacked up for 3 months while I was driving my beater.
I finally got a guy I know at work to help me with it.
We fuddle around for 3 hrs before completing the task.
We figured out that we had to take off the compressor to loosen one of the bolt.
It was a little more complicated than I originally it would be.
Its back on the road and purring just like before.
I was getting embarressed driving my beater all the time.
Boy I missed driving the car.

Nice wheels... How did you get them partially painted like that?

Looks good, and does not need much cleaning...

I did it by hand.
I've done my oil change many times. I must have eaten my Wheaties that morning.
Cost me $100 for the oil pan and $150 for that guy.(hes a certified mechanic)
Plus the anguish of being seen in my beater all the time.
Well worth it. No absolute way I could have done it myself.

Those wheels have been done many times by people in here.
- You sand the inside part.
- Tape up the top part.
- Use a razer blade to trim the tape down.(hardest part as if you are not steady, your wheels won't look good)
- Spray a few coat of paint.

All that had to be done was replace the oil pan? That's a pretty simple unbolting and bolting up job.
Anyways glad you got it back on the road!

Have you done it yourself ??
Thats what I what I thought when I set out to change it myself.
There are 3 bolts on the side where the compressor is at.
2 you can remove, 1 no tool can fit in there and this guy is a mechanic with all the tools.
Maybe you found a way to remove that 1 bolt. He couldn't.
