Unless the car is FI, OEM will do just fine.

absolutely.

The OEM spark plug is specified for this motor -- unless you are using forced induction. The OEM plug is effective, durable and gives optimum performance.

Are you turboed, supercharged, or spraying? How many miles are on your car?

Has anybody used those E3 plugs? I hear they work wonders on other cars for increased performance and fuel economy. Just wondering...

Avoid gimmicky plugs. They don't work any better. If it was truly a better design, don't you think all plugs would be like that?

Single-electrode, platinum. Go for OEM.

How many times must we have this discussion?

And is it ok to leave the OEM plugs in until 105k miles as recommended in the manual?

My car is an 01 with just over 70k miles and i'm debating whether i should add changing the spark plugs to the list of maintenance items that i'll be doing in the spring.

They will work for 105k. But, will they perform optimally? I don't think so. I plan on changing mine every 25k or 2 years (whichever comes first).

I am using Bosch Iridium 4 prong and am N/A. Have had no issue with them. They came with the car when I imported it.
