Default S2000 Brake Options

After several track events, I have realized that my factory brakes need an upgrade to handle the heat I put into them and performance I expect out of them.

To put things in perspective, last year's FC event at BeaveRun, I went through two sets of rear pads and a set of front pads in two days or about 200 track miles. Granted the first set of rear pads and the front pads were not new, but they were better than 50% when I started.

I was considering the Stoptech "big brake kit", but that may be overkill given the bang for the buck compared to other solutions (e.g. brake pads, SS lines, other rotors or kits).

I'd like to hear from those that have done upgrades along the lines of what I am considering.

Thanks!

I think you would do better with just getting some race pads for the track and when your not tracking just use the OEM pads. I recently changed my pads -- took 1 hour for all the pads in the car and it was my first time ever. I'm sure you could cut it down to 20-30min once you know what your doing

Try a set of track pads and a good high-temp fluid, first.

Not quite targeted at the OP but it's more for general reference. Don't forget about the driving part. If you can keep good corner entry speed, you'll cut down brake use dramatically depending on the track. It's kind of funny the only time I found my brakes on any of my cars insufficient at my favorite track was the time I had my S on a wet cool morning session. It's because I had to slow down much more for the wet condition.
