When I got my 2005 in October of last year they gave me the generic black Honda key, the grey valet key, and the "S2000" key. It looks like ass though -- the metal portion with the logo is all scratched up.

I don't mind dropping $55 or whatever for the key, but is it just going to look shitty again in a few weeks? Maybe a sheet of contact paper or something over that section will keep it looking good?

 

When i got my 2008 the key was in shitty condition lol, i wouldnt bother

 

They should have had a clearcoat. Really does scuff easily. Cheapy "metal" paint, FTL.

 

Oh I thought it was because the previous owner didn't take care of it. The loop on the plastic end of my s2000 key is in very bad shape.

 

It helps if you keep your general keyring separate.

 

it's just a key...not a huge deal if it's a little scuffed, is it? do you flash it around to people?

sorry but can you guys tell me what the "s2000" branded key looks like?

i have an MY03 and it looks like the regular black H emblem key that you can see on accords

 

It's just a silver key with "S2000" in black I beleive.

 

just like what 2003s2k2003 said also on the back there a small honda logo that looks very nice. overall its a nice looking key, really fits the style of the S. but yeah it will get damage, my 06 was used but the key was in cherry condition.....but after a while of useage it began to look shitty. ooo and yeah buying a new one is really expensive
