I couldn't find a google picture of anything similar to my key. One side is black with bumps going up the side. The honda logo is kind of on an indent. The other side is similar with black and bumps on the corners. In the middle is kind of a sheild shape scratched to hell so I guess there was an s2000 logo there at one time or another.
'04 s2k.
While I didn't find a key. I did find this looking for s2000 key. I wonder if it would feel different to drive a s2k with the wheel on the right side.

about 6 months and mine looked like crap.
maybe you could use something like clear nail polish or some other clearcoat to keep it from getting scratched up, but that would probably look nearly as bad anyways...

Here's the JDM key, the USDM one is similar but sans-Honda logo.

From the factory on USDM cars from 00-03 there was no s2000 logo key just the basic black key with the H logo. It was in 2004 with the new laser cut key that the key received an S2000 logo. The key above is the JDM key for the AP1, it will not work for the USDM cars because it does not have the chip inside it. You can make it work for the USDM cars only if you modify it by cracking it open and inserting your chip from your hacked up factory key, not to mention it costs 50 bucks before paying to have it cut.

It helps if you keep your general keyring separate.

Supposedly the JDM key's silver also scratches very easily.

That is strange, have they changed the locks on the s2000 over the years? I have a european 2004 and my key has a totally different blank thet it is based on. Mine is a thick base blank that is machined from above to create the pattern. The key showed in the picture looks like a regular typ of blank that would be cut from the sides?
