S2000 Broke Down Part 2 hehe
Ok, so they inspected it, and it appears the whole thing is messed up.. clutch, flywheel, pressureplates.. and some other parts. 800 total for parts, 400 for labor.. grand total 1200. Expensive! And.. they have to order the part from Japan.
Argh... my windshield replacement came in today.... after waiting 1 and 1/2 months (also ordered from Japan). You would think that Honda would have their parts in America after operating quite a while now.
Bah! Anyways, thanks for all the support and critism, I love you all! jk! Take care.
EDIT: Two weeks for repair! :-(. But its gonna be a short two weeks. July 4th vacation
They said that the clutch shattered. Reasons due to dumping the clutch at 8000 rpm. I thought this hurt the clutch in the long run... guess not.

If you put up a big stink...they will fix it for free. Threaten to call
superiors ...regional offices...and so on. The skeaky wheel gets the oil. People have dumped there clutches lots and nothing bad really happens. There was a problem from the factory. Something was not aligned right. Make a stink! The car is way to young for this to happen.....Make a stink at the service desk
at 8:00am in the morning there most busy time. Or in the showroom floor on a saturday. Threaten to call the better busniess people or dept. of consumer affairs. Its not right for them to not honor there warrenty. Its a high performance car not delicate piece of glass. If this was me they would have to take me out kicking and screaming or fix it under warranty.
but good luck any way...stories like this scare me!

research lemon law.....in NY it is 21 busness days at the shop or off the road and you are valid for the lemon law. German friends father had a problem with his acura clutch. at 16,000 miles. They said they would not replace it for free ...told him he drove it wrong. He told them he drove manuel his whole life and has a mercedes and a rabbit with over 75,000 miles and original clutch. After a while they caved. Gotta make a stink!

Well did you or didn't you dump the clutch at 8 grand? If you did, take your medicine, suck it up and pay for the repairs. If you didn't actually abuse the car, then I'd try to get them to cover it under warranty.
Good luck...
