Is the S2000 a car for Type A people?
Hi. I've owned my 2004 S for 1 and 1/2 years now. I think I can describe its temperament. It is powerful, rip snorting, loud, impatient, and angry. It is very quick to become hostile; it revs quickly and easily and begins to snarl naturally. Other drivers hear the S coming and edge uneasily away.
What kind of person would enjoy a car lke this?
I think that only a Type A person would enjoy this pure, no frills adrenaline machine. The S2000 is not a car for a gentle, slow, laid-back personality.

Have to disagree with you.
Power to harness the power takes more of finess, patience, logical sense, and dicipline. I've met plenty of S2000 owners who doesn't fit the mold you are describing yet they are passionate about the car as well as driving it.

I'm a very chill, lazy guy, and I love and pamper my S and push her to the limits every day.
In real life, I am a fairly big guy who has always been severely lacking in athleticism and physical grace. I like a vehicle which, as an extension of my body, is fast, strong, agile - things which I cannot quite achieve with my God-given body. I have always been attracted to this type of vehicle, e.g., my prior RX-7 twin turbo.
I probably am a Type A, but that is a whole 'nuther story......
