Last night I got some bad attention. And this has made me realize the parking in the out of the way place isn't always the best.

I had to go to a Wal-Mart and I figured I'd park by the Oil Change depot, they have plenty of parking and no carts...bad mistake. I come out of the store 25 mins later and I see some ass of a kid (I hope it was a kid) spit a large wad of crud onto the drivers side window. Luckily I just purchased a few window cleaning supplies.

Lesson learned is if people are around and starring at the car, punks are less likely to spit on it. Park in the noticable area but isolate yourself from cart danger.

I don't know about your case, but in general parking way away from other cars or taking two spots is a great way for people to key, spit or in some way damage your car. People feel like you feel you are better then them...and it makes them mad. Don't worry about door dings, scratches, carts....that is what you have insurance for...if you had to get a $1000 deductible to afford the car......then maybe you should think about if you can actually afford this car.

I get a lot of compliments when my Stook is clean...

I think its more than fish that are attracted to shinny objects (maybe thats why women also like diamonds?)

I bought my s2k in San Antonio TX but I live in Dallas. There are hardly NO S2k's down there and I pulled into a gas station Saturday night and had three different people ask me about it, "What kind of car is that?", "Is that a Honda?", and "240 Horses?!?!?!".

You got to love it!

You guys should have seen the paddock at Road America when my car and Scott at King's car paraded through. Please keep in mind that this was at the nation's largest historic racing event with every kind of car imaginable there.

My buddy was driving my car and I was in Scott's and it was like the whole world stopped as we went by. Granted, Scott's car is a bit more "flashy" than my stock-looking car, but people would see mine and stop and then they would do a double take at Scott's. It was quite humorous.

These cars attract alot of attention.

Actually, where I was parked wasn't totally out of the way, it was right near the building itself, just in the oil change location where they park the cars waiting for an oilchange. It had a few cars in the area but not much going on, felt like it was a good place to put it at the time. Best place to be I feel is right out in plain view for everyone to keep an eye on.

Not worried about insurance, however only having the car two days doesn't make you feel great putting it in the wal-mart parking lot near the carts. Did you feel comfortable the first couple of days with door dings and scratches? Doubtful.

New owner syndrome is bound to wear off sooner or later, but the crack about the $1000 stung! Geezus man if I had over $250 I'd consider selling it.

Everywhere I go I get lots of people giving me nice compliments. I'm one also that parks away from people but its better than taking to the body shop all the time. I've been hit in the bumper twice by some idiot who can't drive--HOW THE HELL DO YOU HIT A PARKED CAR THAT IS PARKED AWAY FROM EVERYTHING ELSE? Anyway alot of people I talked to appreciate the car itself and what it can do, htey seem to really like the white color.

That is why i said I don't know about your case! I wasn't assuming that was your issue...i was just saying....using it as an example. I have just noticed that people with nice cars (and a lot of not nice cars, like lowered civics with wings) park in two spots, or way away from other cars...I was just saying in general...this is not a good idea.
No need to explain, I understood what you were saying and took no slight against me. Its just true, lots of people presume that they have a hot car and need to be hotstuff when parking it. Not even thinking that when I did park it I just didn't feel safe with it in the general Wal-Mart parking lot with the little old ladies and their cart handicap. However if it was legal to cull children in the streets in Canada I do think I would have done so last night.

[QUOTE]After 2 days I was pretty anal about my car also...I hear you on that one.

My car get s a lot of attention even when it's parked. I was at a friend house on Sat., who lives in a cul-de-sac. The next door neighbors came out of the house to check out the car. ALmos everyone that drove into the cul-de-sac was staring at it.

Also, when I got my alarm installed at my friends house, all of his neighbors came out to check it out. In fact, when I went outside to check on how the installation was going, one of his neighbors was underneath the car looking at the exhaust.
