Default S2000 Coeffeciant of Drag ?

Any of you cross dressers (just kidding) know the car's coeffeciant of drag. Someone asked me and I don't have a clue.

I've seen a couple of different numbers; these seem to be the most popular:

Coefficient of Drag, Top Up: 0.38
Coefficient of Drag, Top Down: 0.42

p.s. for comparison, here's the CD for the Boxter:

Coefficient of Drag, Top Up: 0.32

The windshield is big and quite vertical. In addition, but front bumper is much less sculpted than the boxster, along with the rear end.

just out of curiosity, what's the CD of a supercar like a Modena, and what's the CD of, say, a Neon, or even better, a 1979 Caprice Classic (my next car)?

Although I do not remember the exact numbers that our hosts at Mugen showed us, these are accurate to within 2/100 or so. I believe top down in 0.43. Frankly, we saw the raw numbers from tests of the car in so many different configurations I'm surprised I remember anything at al.

I found it very interesting that during our meeting w/ Honda's engineers they kept bringing the notion that the S2000 is not just a convertible or opened top car but an "open" car. Rather than using a steeply raked windshield that butted against the drivers forehead (like a Camaro for example), they wanted to eliminate the feeling of claustrophobia.

The Honda engineers said that the CD for the S2000 topless was .37. I don't remember the top up number...
