I use mine as a daily driver and sure its a small car, but I am a small guy (5'10") so it works well for me. Trunk has decent space and if your traveling by yourself then you can use the seat next to you. Travel with friends, yes one friend. Its a good car for a single guy or someone with no kids. There are some situations that it is just not practical for.

I have to agree with INTJ. If I think about my S as a car it is really impractical, but if I think about it as a motorcycle it suddenly makes sense. Like my motorcycles, it is noisy, fun in the corners, loves to be revved, and can only haul one passenger. But it has more luggage space, heater, A/C, stereo, and I can put the top up if the weather turns bad. Plus, I don't have to haul around my helmet, jacket, and tankbag. Now my motorcycles gather dust and my S is my daily driver.

very, very good description.
I DD my car and have no problem with it.
My biggest problem is I have to watch roads carefully during hard roads and I am limited in what surfaces I drive on. (I'm never going down dirt or gravel roads.)

Spacewise the car is fine for me. If you're in HS I would recommend something with a backseat, no matter how small. Your sex life will thank you and you will need that space when you move out or go to college.

Hmmm

well possibly a WRX Wagon or Sedan then. I think I probably would regret not having a backseat.

Any other suggestions? Possibly a small suv even

Quoted. For. Truth.

Being in high school, its very unlikely that all of your friends will have 2 seaters. Actually if your friends are anything like mine, almost all of them will have SUV's or cars that can fit +4, so don't be too worried about not being able to lug stuff/people around. I can fit all that I need in the trunk/passenger seat and I'm a senior. If not, my friends are willing to help me out. I would rather follow in the S than ride in a friend's car, but thats just because I feel kind of restricted when anyone is riding with me (worry about the clutch buzz, hitting vtec, if they like the top down/up, etc.) .

But like others stated, if this isn't the car you really want now, don't get it. Buy something cheap so you'll have more money for what you really want later. I plan on keeping the S for a very long time, but heaven knows after college I'm still buying an FD the first minute a Brilliant Black R1 in good conditions pops up.

if i remember at that age i wanted a car that was cool and fun but one i could take my buds around in....after all having a cool car meant showing it off and using it, sharing it if you will.

any two seater is a commitment to one passenger, period and limited stuff.

i would opt for a 4 seat car for now, keeping the S as a goal whenyou can afford two cars.

i find that i drive my honda almost every day, except when i have to drive my family or friends around, take the dog to the vets and haul larger amounts of stuff...then i drive my other car, a 4 door sedan, which is also a fun car for me. i drive my S about 4 days a week.

your mileage may vary.

^^^

yeah I really think I would probably enjoy having a 5 seater just in case.

what cars would you recommend that can carry around a few more passengers, but are still quick and fun to drive?
