You mean this thread:

Jdm,euro,usdm differences

And there is this one:

U.S. vs. Canada model differences
No sense rehashing all the items that's already been mentioned previously.

both. gasket and pistons..... I think the reason why we have 11:1 is because the US has crappy gas and the car would detonate all over the place.

They have higher octane pump gas than we do over here which is necessary for high compression engines. I think it is around 100 or something like that.

The UK gets the S2000 GT

A clever sales gimmick whereby you can pay and extra 1000GBP over the sale price of an S2000 roadster and get a factory hardtop, oem hardtop stand and hardtop cover.

You never got a GT badge which I was a shame.

UK also got the special UK alignment setting (obviously!)

Also, UK, EU and JDM cars get the clear sidemarkers and diffusers - with the chromed headlight units on the '02-'03

Not true I know a guy running a JDM F20 on 91 here in CA....runs fine.....

BTW is there proof that it's the pistons.....Half the people say pistons, half the people say headgasket. Does anyone have any real proof?

Some other differences I noticed:

EU versions have a small 'spoiler' mounted on the driver side windshield wiper arm (underside).

EU tail lights are slightly different (no red retro-reflective surface towards the side and no rear red side marker light source).

EU rear bumper has much larger rear registration plate space (and I believe two lights instead of one).

MY 2000 - MY 2001 US/CAN versions had slightly different rims.

US versions have a VIN number sticker on every single body panel.

The different headlamps without amber color (front parking lamps and side retro-reflective piece) and self adjusting levelling device were already pointed out?

Regards,

Siepel

US, CAN & JDM have 2 reverse (backup) lights...while the EU & UK models have 1 reverse and 1 fog light

(The lower foglight has been moved into the rear cluster on one side only)
